Periodic Medical Skin Checkup Diagnose Lumps and Bumps

On no account should you attempt to diagnose yourself. Only a qualified doctor can do that! (Even doctors go to other doctors when they need to be examined and treated!)

There is no substitute for a periodic medical checkup, which should include regular visits to a qualified dermatologist. The recommended frequency of such examinations varies with the specific circumstances and should be discussed with your doctor.

That said, the more aware you are of your physical (and, for that matter, spiritual) self, the better you might be able to seek appropriate help and advice when it is needed. (more…)

A potential recipient of bovine collagen implant must first be tested for possible allergy to the substance. The test is simple: a small amount of collagen is injected painlessly into the forearm through a tiny needle. The dermatologist examines the area tested a few days later, and again after a month. If so, you’re not alone. Fifty per cent of the population have experienced insomnia, the most common sleep disorder.’

Those with insomnia experience an insufficient amount of sleep, or do not feel rested after having slept. This often impairs social and occupational functioning, and can be accompanied by feelings of restlessness, irritability, anxiety, daytime fatigue and tiredness.’ Transient or short-term insomnia lasts no more than a few nights to two or three weeks. Early Warning Signs of TSS

If you develop any of these symptoms during or just after your menstrual period, tell Mom immediately and see your doctor:

  • High fever
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Aching muscles
  • Lightheadedness
  • Rash (resembling sunburn)

Remember, TSS can be serious, even fatal, but not if it’s caught in time and treated. So if you have any symptoms that worry you, don’t keep them to yourself. (more…)
