Wrinkles and Facial Scars Cosmetic Surgery, what needs to be done?

A chemical face peel is an unpleasant-sounding procedure and unpleasant to experience too. It is usually carried out under sedation and takes about an hour if the whole of your face is being done. The surgeon first carefully cleans your face, then applies a strong chemical solution to all the areas where you want wrinkling removed. This stings, strongly but briefly. Then the treated areas are covered with layers of adhesive tape and you can go home.

Dermabrasion is a one-step procedure, which can be carried out under local or general anaesthetic and takes about an hour. A small rotating wire brush or metal wheel is used to smooth the rough areas you are having treated. (more…)
