Hair Tonics
These are massaged into the scalp several times a week. If used regularly, they will improve the condition of your hair and scalp. There is no need to wet your hair first. Choose an appropriate base for your hair and scalp condition, e.g. orange flower water for dry hair, witch hazel for oily hair and up to 15 drops of essential oil.
FOR DANDRUFF
If your hair is very dry, you may prefer to use the same essential oils in the deep conditioning treatment.
300 ml distilled water or an appropriate floral water.
3 teaspoonsful of cider vinegar
6 drops of cedarwood
6 drops of lavender
3 drops of camomile
Method:
Funnel the water into a dark glass bottle, add the cider vinegar and the essential oils. Shake well each time before use.
Alternative Essences:
Juniper, rosemary, tea tree.
FOR STIMULATING HEALTHY HAIR GROWTH
300 ml distilled water or a floral water of your choice
3 teaspoonsful of cider vinegar
7 drops of rosemary
5 drops of sandalwood
Method:
Mix the water and oils together as in the previous recipe.
Alternative Essence:
Patchouli.
