Making your Home Radiant
To counteract these toxic and harmful vibrations, introduce forms of radiant energy through light, air, aroma and sound.
Light
Pure sunlight has a very powerful cleaning action. The light rays purify and cleanse all natural objects as well as any dark spiritual forces. Curtains and blinds hold dust and dirt particles as well as block out a good deal of natural light, so if you want to thoroughlycleanse a room it is a good idea to start by taking these down. The extra natural sunlight which will enter the room through the larger window area, will help clean the room while the curtains are being washed.
Wash the curtains and soft furnishings in a non-biological and bio-degradable washing powder or shampoo. You can add a few drops of essential oil to the rinsing water to add a refreshing smell to the fabrics. Lemon and citrus oils work very well. If there is any furniture remaining, make sure you clean it thoroughly with a natural upholstery or fabric cleaner.
If you wish to clear a room without removing any of the curtains or furnishings install a violet or purple light bulb, available in specialist light shops or from a color therapy studio. Place the bulb in the light socket in the room you wish to clear, and leave it on for one to two hours. Do not remain in the room while the light is on, as the colored light may be too powerful for you.
Air
Every house should be able to breathe. Just as natural fibers allow our skin to breathe, so does the home need to transport and eliminate bad odors, stale air and negative vibrations to the surface. It can do this by the use of porous natural materials like wood, clay brick, lime mortar and plaster, thatch, and porous non-toxic paints. This allows air and moisture to pass very slowly through the building by diffusion from inside to outside.
This process acts as a sieve, filtering out dust and moisture and it reduces pollutants. Choosing a house made from natural materials, or one which can be adapted to use them, will improve the energy field in your home.
To be healthy you need to breathe clean air. You also need to breathe deeply and properly so that you extract the maximum amount of oxygen and life-force energy from the air. Posture is a very important factor in breathing, and sitting hunched over a desk or table, and badly designed beds and chairs all contribute to our inability to breathe correctly.
Even if the air quality is bad out of doors you cannot assume it is better indoors. Household chemicals, fabrics and furnishings can give off chemical pollutants. Also dust and bacteria build up, creating a breeding ground for many ailments including asthma, hayfever, rashes, and susceptibility to colds and flu. Instead of sealing all available windows and doors, air a room if you wish to build up your resistance to viral infections.
The best way of clearing stale energy is to give the place a spring clean. Open the windows, checking any problems which need to be fixed. Leave the front and the back doors open so that you create a through-draft for half an hour. This will help flush out negative vibrations that may be clinging to the corners and ceilings. To create good cross-ventilation, open doors and windows on opposite walls and ends of the building. This will create pressure which will draw air through the home. Any moist air which is trapped in the bathroom or kitchen can escape, so helping avoid dampness which breeds mold, fungi, bacteria and viruses.
Give the place a good dusting and clean the doors and woodwork with a safe nontoxic cleaning material like herbal soap, herbal cleaner and natural floor polish.
Remove anything which may produce toxic smells, such as plastic, rubber-backed or synthetic carpets, or a defective gas cooker. If you are not sure of the source of a bad odor, follow your nose! Even the places that look clean are likely to harbor dust and microorganisms which carry bacteria, so clean out all your cupboards. Bicarbonate of soda will help remove any unpleasant smells from refrigerators and stoves.
Aroma
Burning aromatic oils in a room is an excellent way of clearing out unwanted vibrations, especially psychic forces. Aromas are vibrations which travel in the ether and, like color and sound, affect anything with which they come into contact. Our sense of smell is one of the oldest senses and it is one that we have almost lost, but associations with scent last longer than those from our other senses.
Different essential oils have different properties and actions upon us and our environment. Essential oil of juniper, lavender and frankincense have high vibrations. Tea tree essential oil, which has been used by the Aborigines in Australia for centuries, is a disinfectant as it has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities. You can easily mix two or three of these oils together. If you are unable to obtain essential oils or burn them, buy some incense or joss sticks.
Sound
Sound vibrations are very powerful as they set up a resonance which can alter physical and etheric matter. Toning or humming sets up a pattern of wavelengths that can move any build-up of stagnant energy in a room. If you have never tried toning, start by making the A-U-M sound, letting the resonance build up in the base of the throat. Repeat this slowly and rhythmically for five minutes. This method works especially well when several people do it together.
If you have the equipment handy, it is also possible to play a tape or record to clear a room. Sadly, it has been shown that compact discs lack certain vibrations found in vinyl and tape recordings. These good sound vibrations are similar to the alpha waves produced by our brain during restful sleep. All forms of chanting disperse negative energy, so a tape of a Gregorian chant or Buddhist mantra will have a similar effect.
Cymbals, bells and gongs are good tools for moving energy. When you use them, do check that the neighbors won’t be alarmed or disturbed.
