The following is a list of lifestyle adjustments that could improve the quality and length of your life:

- See to it that the car that you use most weighs more than 1600 kg.
- Stay in a long-term relationship or remain married.
- See to it that you have at least one good friend.
- Be a member of a religious movement or a group that carries out community service.
- Keep a pet.
- See to it that you have a fixed daily routine as well as a working routine.
- Get sufficient sleep.
- Participate regularly in a programme that relieves stress.
- Pursue happiness in a meaningful way.
- Spend quality time with family and friends and enjoy it.
- See to it that you feel in control of your career and personal life.
- Do not live beyond your means.
- Set yourself goals and find new challenges.
- Practise a creative hobby.
- Relax regularly.
- Ensure that you are able to express your feelings easily.
- Laugh a lot.
- Expect good things.
- Curb your anger and don’t be too critical of yourself or other people, feel lonely, worry about things which you cannot change or regret the sacrifices in your life.
