Day and Night Skincare at a Glance
The important thing to remember about your skincare routine is your desired outcome.
You want your skin to function at its best, to age gracefully and to be a sign of your health and vitality. In order to achieve this you need to support your skin in the way it works naturally. Don’t try to override its natural functions, thinking your skincare will produce beautiful skin. It is your skin that has the rejuvenating power, given the right ingredients and care!
Morning
- Compress the skin as described (no need to use a cleanser if all you are removing is the perspiration from your night’s sleep).
- Apply nourishment booster: maybe organic Rosehip oil, your own special blend or a favourite product you already have. Apply over entire face and neck.
- Apply nourishment and protection: a good plant-based moisturiser.
- Apply cleanser to remove all traces of make-up and the day’s grime.
- Compress the skin four to five times.
- Apply nourishment booster as described, as your favourite night product. (Night-time is when your skin repairs itself, so allow the skin to breathe by using plant-based products. Avoid heavy night creams.) Weekly
- Use a gentle scrub on the skin; depending on the product you may use this several times a week.
- Apply either a cleansing or nourishing mask.
There will be times when your skin goes out of kilter. Learn about the benefits of natural ingredients and supplement your skincare when needed. Remember your skin is a reflection of your health and lifestyle, so take the holistic approach by looking at all the areas of your life and how they fit together to produce the vitality and glow in your skin.
